BREATH WITH LUCY
An hour in your body does what years of thinking about your feelings never could
Once a month, online, for two hours.
No talking about your problems, no performing being okay, just your breath, your body, and a room full of people who are quietly done with the version of themselves they have been presenting to the world.
£30
If you have tried the therapy, understand yourself pretty well, can trace patterns back to where it started most of the time, and yet, you still feel the same, you're in the right place
This isn't because the therapy failed you, but because understanding why you do something and actually shifting it are two completely different things. The insight lives in your head, the pattern lives in your body, and no amount of talking about it reaches the place where it actually lives.
That is what breathwork does.
It goes underneath the thinking mind, underneath the insight, the frameworks, the very sophisticated understanding of your own psychology, and moves things that thinking simply cannot reach.
Conscious connected breathwork is a guided, hour-long breathing practice done lying down, eyes closed, with music.
There is no talking during the practice, no sharing if you don't want to, no performing and no need to get it right.
Just your breath, moving in a continuous, connected rhythm, and whatever needs to shift, shifting.
Your nervous system, which has been running on performance for years, gets to do something it almost never gets to do.
Stop.
And....let's be clear, not the performed calm of someone holding it together. Actual calm.
The first time I did breathwork, i was terrified
I didn't know what would happen, I didn't know if I was going to fall apart or if everything I had been holding together for years was suddenly going to come flooding out in front of strangers.
It didn't.
Here is what I know after years of facilitating this work, training breathwork teachers, and sitting with hundreds of people through their first session:
Your body is extraordinarily intelligent.
It will only ever give you exactly what you are ready for.
If you are exhausted, it will give you rest.
If something has been waiting to move, it will support you, gently, safely, to let it move.
Nothing will show up in a breathwork session that you are not ready to meet.
That is not a promise I make lightly.
It is what the body does, every single time, without exception.
What you might feel:
Tingling or buzzing in your hands or body, this is completely normal, it is energy moving.
A sense of emotional release, tears, laughter, a sudden feeling of lightness. Some people feel a lot, some people feel very chilled and calm and some people, especially the first time, simply fall into the deepest rest they have had in months.
All of it is right. All of it is the work.
WhaT my clients have to say...
You don't need to know anything about breathwork, you don't need experience, a meditation practice, or a particular state of mind.
You just need to show up and breathe, I will take care of everything else.
ABOUT LUCY
I spent ten years on a trading floor at JPMorgan and Citigroup.
I tried everything that was supposed to work, the therapy, the coaching, the self-development. I understood myself extremely well, nothing moved.
The moment everything changed was a yoga class, a six-figure bonus in my bag and me crying my eyes out without being able to explain why.
The thing is, I wasn't crying because something was wrong, I was crying because I had been performing so hard for so long that I had completely lost the thread back to myself.
Breathwork was the first thing I tried that was a bit 'alternative' that changed the game completely.
I have since trained extensively in conscious connected breathwork (amongst all of the coaching and therapeutic studies, but let's save that for another time), studying alongside world-renowned teachers. I have facilitated hundreds of sessions, and I have trained breathwork facilitators.
I know this practice with my whole body and I know what it can do for someone who is brilliant at their life on paper and quietly starving inside it.
Yes. Most people who come have never done it before. The preparation video I send beforehand means you will know exactly what to expect. You do not need any experience whatsoever.
What if I get too emotional?
This is the question almost everyone has before their first session, and what I will say is this: your body is more intelligent than you know. It will only give you what you are ready for, I have facilitated hundreds of sessions. No one has ever had something arise that they were not ready to meet, the optional closing circle is there so you don't leave alone with anything that moved.
What DO I NEED?
Somewhere comfortable and private to lie down, a blanket, headphones if you have them and an eye mask if you want one. That is it.
Why does my camera need to be on?
So I can track that everyone is safe during the practice. You will have your eyes closed the entire time. I am not watching you, I am watching over you. There is a difference.
What if I fall asleep?
What happens after?
You will feel different to how you arrived, lighter, clearer, more yourself. I recommend keeping the rest of your evening gentle, a walk, an early night, lots of water. The work continues to integrate over the following days.
